Jill KnowlesJill is a nationally-competitive hunter/jumper professional with an eye for detail in her horses, students and facility. Jill’s top priority as she personally designed this facility was the care and comfort of Hidden Knoll’s horses and customers. Her sharp, discerning eye carries over to her training with students obtaining top ribbons while competing at some of the country’s most prestigious horse shows.

Jill began riding at the age of seven and never looked back. Her tenacity earned a bachelor of science degree in Equine Teacher Trainer and Facilities Management from Lake Erie College, graduating in 1990. Jill has experience in the hunter/jumper industry for over 40 years. She established Hidden Knoll in 1994.

Jill’s background and training includes some of the country’s top professional influences. Besides her dressage background, training from Katie and Henri Prudent and George Morris play a significant role in her current training beliefs and methods.

Vallerie WillardValerie Willard is an experienced horsewoman with over thirty-five years in the industry. With twenty years of experience teaching and studying under premier horse trainers and vets, she is well versed in both the sport of riding and the health of the horses.

Throughout her career she was not only responsible for schooling show horses but also for the management of a lesson program with over forty school horses and organized regular horse shows each year. Utilizing her teaching degree from Northern Illinois University, Valerie tailors each lesson to meet her students’ needs and facilitate their safe progression in horsemanship.
